Ｒｅｓｔｕ財団のアート・コンプレックスには８人のカリグラファーがいるが、その中のＣａｌｌｉｇｒａｐｈｙ Ｓｅｎｉｏｒ ＥｘｅｃｕｔｉｖｅのAbdul Baki Abu Bakarさんの話。
メールではバキ・バカルと書かれているので、ここではそう呼んでいく。
これは、バキ・バカルさんとその作品である。いくつかの作品を紹介してくれたが、いずれもスルス・ジャリーディーワーニー・ナスヒー・ナスタリークなどを使って堂々たる作品になっている。装飾はデザイナー＆カラーリング（中東ではテズヒーブを書くこと）を行なう専門家が行なう。ここにはそういった専門家が１６人もいるのだ。したがってカリグラファーは純粋に文字を書くだけだという。これだけの大きな作品で文字がびっしりだとさぞ時間もかかるだろうと思ったが、４日間で書いたものだという。
彼は、トルコのＩＲＣＩＣＡ（イルシカと読む）の第７回のＩｎｔｅｒｎａｔｉｏｎａｌ Ｃａｌｌｉｇｒａｐｈｙ ＣｏｍｐｅｔｉｔｉｏｎでのIncentive Prizesを受けている。それも特に難しいJaly Thuluth（大きいスルス）書体部門である。マレーシアでＮｏ，１ということになる。
彼は、本田孝一氏の作品をさし素晴らしいといい、また本田氏のテクニックはすごいという。

アインという文字を頭の部分をまず左から右へ書き（先端の細くなるところは輪郭を書いてなかを塗るという中東でも一般的に行なわれる方法を用いる）、そして、その次に始点のところから第２筆を継いでいくことしかできないと思っていた。しかし、本田氏は右から滑らかに弧を描きながら左へ行き、細くしたところからそのまま続いて下にと筆が続いていく。見事なものだと感嘆することしきりであった。
また、後日その件について先生から伺うと、彼はとても素直で、アインの書き方を熱心に聞き、そしてわずか２時間ほどのちにはもうアインをなめらかに書けるようになっていたという。
若くて、素直で柔軟、しかも同僚が「彼はいつも書いている」というほど、修練たゆまぬ努力を重ねている。

This is Mr. Bakal BAKI work. Introduced me to some work to do using a NASUTARIKU NASUHI JARIDIWANI SURUSU both are works of man. Designer decor & color (in the Middle East to write a TEZUHIBU) experts will do. Experts here are 16 of these people. Therefore KARIGURAFA just pure writing. I thought it would take time and must work closely packed letters in all this big, that it was written in four days.
He is in Turkey IRCICA (read IRUSHIKA) 7th International Calligraphy Competition in the times that the Incentive Prizes. It particularly difficult Jaly Thuluth (SURUSU great), a division typeface. In Malaysia, No, 1 will be called.
He is good and great works of his Honda Takakazu point, the technique is that Honda’s amazing.
Write from left to right on the head with the letters Ain (the narrow way that the tip is generally done in the Middle East that put the outline in writing), and then from the beginning The second thought that I not only inherited it in the brush. Penulis blog (Jepun) ini pun seorang khattatah, dia sudah 2,3 kali dapat incentive price di IRCICA. Dia banyak menulis dalam khat Nasta’liq, belajar dari Prof. Honda.
